What Makes a Good Pamper Story?

What makes a good diaper story? I've read many across multiple sites such as Fur Affinity, Fimfiction, Wattpad, E621, and countless others. While some are excellent and push all the right buttons, I often find that many fall into a category I like to call cutesie or soft. This is by no means a bad thing, #ABDL artwork and theming in general tends to revolve around a gentle regression into mindlessness bliss or a cooing Mommy figure slowly pulling a little one under. Unfortunately for me, I find such works boring preferring instead to indulge in what some would consider the darker perhaps twisted side of regression. I don't want to read a deeply explorative philosophical take on the ABDL lifestyle where he characters discover their inner little and slowly learn to accept their new identify in contrast to their boring often stagnant adult lives. I want to watch someone who fully believes they are an adult be forced into accepting they are nothing more than a babbling, drooly, mindless, helpless little thing. I love watching them be slowly humiliated as control is slowly ripped away from them while they are helpless to resist slowly losing their minds and memories in a sea of hypnosis, humiliation, and smelly pampers. Tech control, hypnotic visors, sedative laced pacifiers, frilly humiliating clothing, bibs, etc are all huge bonuses for me. However, aside from the clothing, humiliation, and hypnosis, a good pamper story needs to define a reason or world where such practices and techniques are seen as normal. While it can be fun to indulge in stories that take place in a special house or small laboratory to facilitate the events of the story, it can cause the reader to question how the characters, specifically the dom, are getting away with this. Surely someone, a neighbor, an SO, or an unlucky visitor would hear or notice a grown adult suddenly emerging from the home babbling or drooling over themselves like an idiot. To avoid this issue, I think good diaper fiction should build a world where said techniques and #braindraining are seen as corrective and helpful to citizens! This lends the genre very well to dystopian worlds and settings where being converted into a pamper packing idiot is seen as a positive or correctional activity, perhaps even a promotion from adulthood to little hood or #littlespace. This allows the author and therefore the audience to experience an interesting world/story that can have twist and turns while still keeping the kinky fun, and allows the author to indulge in practically any format of the ABDL kink in question. For me, good diaper stories are set in worlds that mandate a regressive/horny world by accident. Where certain events in the past or otherwise have caused powerful leaders, corporations, or cults to see diapers and hypnosis as the only logical solution resulting in the horniness and diaper messing fun to become a byproduct of a larger problem or threat in the world. Of course such stories will never be serious dramas or action packed emotional roller-coaster, we are talking about diapers and kinky hypnosis Afterall, however, the story doesn't have to sacrifice those story-telling techniques because it's smut. It can have both horny fun times and intriguing lore/world building. It can be harrowing as the reader watching the main character or group resisting the hypnosis/temptation for several chapters or paragraphs fighting to retain their adulthood and control only to fall short of victory seconds before escape or promised freedom. Even more-so if the story is focusing on a group. Watching the characters drop like flies slowly reverting to idiotic infantile states as their fellow constants/friends watch on in horror~ Gosh that pushes my buttons :)
