As you may have guessed from my content I love ABDL artwork. So much so that I decided to make my own three to four years ago. (Wow that's a long time). New artists popping up are often rare or go unnoticed for a long time before enough people in the community boost them to show up in results. This understandably can take a while as from the outside looking in, this is an utterly bizarre world. Baby bottles and bibs, outfits you haven't seen in decades as an adult, diapers, etc. There's very little room for overlap with other fetishes or artists. Even for me, the main appeal of ABDL isn't the cuteness or the regression aspects, it's the crossover of ABDL and hypnosis/mind control. The act/idea of being forced back into babyhood or losing your smarts and letting lose as you flood your diaper and suck on a pacifier pushes all the right buttons. I get excited even thinking about it. Yet there seems to be a shortage of ABDL artwork in this area. One of the main reasons I even started making ABDL artwork in SFM or looking into creating the artwork at all is because of a void in this particular area. Sure some artists dabble with it or the odd commission asking for it will pop up in their catalog but I have yet to find many artists that focus entirely on the hypnotic potential of becoming a pamper packer. I find the disparity fascinating. Here is a kink that perfectly lends itself to losing all control and submitting to a dominant or caregiver in this case, and yet the artwork to capitalize on such an interest is in the minority. In my experience, ABDL artwork tends to lean in the cuter (or cutesie as I like to call it) direction. Which is what this little ramble is all leading toward. The sheer amount of entirely cute SFW ABDL artwork is, for me personally, rather disappointing. Mainly the disparity between the amount of cute SFW artwork available compared to NSFW artwork that goes all in on diapers, hypnosis, and what it would mean to lose your mind as a little one. This is to say nothing bad of the artist or commissioners who request such artwork. A lot of it is very cute and innocent-looking-aiming to capture a simpler less kinky side of the community where entering littlespace is a calm and relaxing environment free of any horny baggage. But I do wish more people went all in on the kinky side. Perhaps there are plenty and I have simply been unlucky in my efforts to locate them. (If you dear readers know of any artists that fall into this category please do send them my way) But I feel that isn't the case. In my opinion, the ABDL community has a cutsie art overflow. It's everywhere. And it has sparked a curiosity in me that I hope some readers of this blog may answer. Why is there so much more cute art than not? Why is it the focus, what about it appeals to you, or what aspects gravitate you toward it? Do you prefer the SFW works to the NSFW works or are you like me saddened by the influx of cute works? I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you!
